Salmon Grove Studios is one of the principal creative resources of our central campus and offers industry standard levels of audio production; a professional, affordable, alternative to private studios fully equipped with an Apple Mac Pro, Audient inline consoles and Pro Tools HD2 system as well as a variety of effects processors, plug-ins and high quality microphones and with experienced sound engineers readily at hand to liaise and offer expertise if necessary there is ample facility for everything from ensemble performers to solo artists at any level of proficiency or understanding.

Student session musicians are readily available for hire, often with their own instruments, and the studio itself comes complete with a Yamaha drum kit, Fender, Vox and Marshall backline and Yamaha U3s upright piano making it ideal for a variety of mixing situations and able to be specifically tailored to anything from creating audio for multimedia and gaming projects to recording original backing music for advertising or corporate presentations.

In addition to the third year Studio Techniques and Productions students, who act as its in-house engineers, Michael Fletcher their overseeing technician is often available and has a wealth of commercial recording experience able to contribute to client’s ventures. Salmon Grove offers an expert specialist service in a creative and friendly environment.

9am-10pm Monday to Friday during semester, 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday during holidays. Unable to be booked during May due to assessment period.
